In Vietnam, domestic electricity demand is increasing at an annual rate of about + 10% along with economic development. According to the annual statistics of Vietnam Electricity Corporation, Vietnam’s electricity demand has been increasing consistently since 2000. As a result of 2020, the annual electricity demand has reached 216 TWh, and it is predicted to increase to 491 TWh in 2030 and 877 TWh in 2045.
Since power development on the supply side has not kept pace with the growth in electricity demand, the Vietnamese Government will raise the ratio of renewable energy to 29% by 2030 and 45% by 2045 (Draft of the 8th National Electricity Master Plan).
Under such circumstances, Japanese companies are enthusiastic about investing in renewable energy power sources in Vietnam, and C4JB will proceed the activities and become a linking bridge with various Japanese companies through the renewable energy power source development project, which is expected to increase in the future.
